Announcing year five of the Ventura County Early
Care and Education Compensation/Retention Incentive Project!
This is a
five-year pilot program intended to compensate and retain early care providers
through training stipends. Training stipends are available to early child care
providers who engage in professional development training opportunities aimed
at improving the quality of early care and education in Ventura County.
Stipends are distributed among family child care providers, child care center providers,
and those providing care in high priority areas. Completed applications are
processed within these categories on a first-come, first-served basis until
funds are depleted.
Informational sessions will be held throughout the County in
the coming months. The sessions are voluntary and are intended to provide an
overview of the program, the eligibility requirements, and to answer any
questions.
Please visit this website often to check for dates for
the informational sessions.
