www.venturacountytogether.org is a recently formed coalition of nonprofits and public agencies focused on the growing demand for basic need services of food, shelter and health.  The coalition, initiated by United Way, Ventura County Community Foundation, First 5 and the Community Commission of Ventura County currently has 32 participating organizations who share a common concern about the marked increase in demand for services and an ongoing economic situation that is creating clients who have never needed help before. 

VC Together is running a grassroots fundraising campaign, the Buck Starts Here, that encourages all of us to give what we can to support Ventura County basic needs. Every dollar donated will go directly to support local food (30%), shelter (30%) and health needs (30%). Ten percent will support the 2-1-1 information and referral line.
